PFF Renewal Requirements

PFF renewals are based on the calendar year. Renewals are due every January 1st.

To maintain the PFF Designation, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

Employment

a) Must be employed by a CIFFA Regular Member company
(This requirement does not apply to Associate PFF); and

Background Check

b) Applicable only every 5 years ... Successfully completed the background check according to the standards set in the Transport Canada Air Cargo Security Program for Authorized Cargo Representatives (currently set as ... Criminal Record Background Check, 5-year employment verification, 5-year residence verification, 3 character reference checks); and supply CIFFA with a current passport photo; and

Participation

c) Must attend the yearly PFF conference (in person or electronically); and

d) Must provide proof of attendance/participation in at least two (2) industry-related events (to be applicable, the event must be pre-approved by CIFFA), such as:

- CIFFA Working Group (e.g. Air Cargo Security, PFF, etc.)
- Groups/committees (e.g. Transport Canada, Canadian Border Services Agency, etc.)
- Trade shows (e.g. IE Canada, CITA, TIACA, etc.)
- Continuous training (e.g. Dangerous Goods, Local Chamber of Commerce/Board of Trade seminars, etc.)
- Community service/charitable events (e.g. Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, etc.)
- Industry-related speaking engagements (e.g. in-house training, local Chamber of Commerce/Board of Trade, etc.)

Payment

e) Complete the required Renewal Application Form and pay the Application Fee of:
$95.00 + GST= $99.75 (Regular PFF)
$195.00 + GST= $204.75 (Associate PFF)
