CIFFA Business Essentials
CIFFA is pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with Seneca College, in Toronto.
Seneca College has created a new business skills Program for us, in which they have grouped two levels of their current business/management courses for our Certificate or Advanced Certificate (previously Module I and Module II) graduates and CIFFA’s Professional Freight Forwarders (PFFs).
These courses are designed to provide CIFFA graduates and PFFs wishing to move into management business skills that are in demand and are needed. Additionally, current CIFFA graduates and PFFs in management, wishing to round out their business skill set, can also take advantage of these courses.
As these programs do not meet the Ministry of Education guidelines as a diploma or certificate program, Seneca College will issue a Recognition of Achievement to the successful student.
Pre-requisite:
Successful completion of CIFFA's Certificate or Advanced Certificate Program, or holding a current PFF designation.
Course details:
- Introduction to Business Administration (Seneca course code BAM101).
- Introduction to Human Resources Management (Seneca course code HRM742).
- Building and Maintaining Customer Relationships (Seneca course code MRK645).
CIFFA Business Essentials - Level Two
Pre-requisite:
Successful completion of the Certificate or Advanced Certificate Program, or holding a current PFF designation.
Course details:
- Introduction to Business Administration (if not already completed in Level One) (Seneca course code BAM101).
- Introduction to Financial and Management Accounting (Seneca course code HRM732).
- Business Management and Organizational Behaviour (Seneca course code HRM742).
- Teamwork and Coaching (Seneca course code LED640).
Course delivery method:
These courses are available totally on-line, so that any CIFFA graduate or PFF in Canada can participate.
Information and Registration details:
CIFFA graduates must register directly with Seneca College, and pay Seneca College the required fees. In order to be excepted into this Seneca Program, CIFFA must transfer the student’s record to Seneca College. A small one-time CIFFA administrative fee is applicable, to complete the transfer.
