The global supply chain is an ever-changing environment, reflecting the implementation of new strategies of businesses and countries. To be considered a true professional, you must have a high degree of skills and knowledge over a broad-based area. As such, the education requirements rise exponentially.
To acquire and maintain such standards of professional excellence, and to fill the skill and knowledge gap in our industries, the CIFFA Academy develops, coordinates, and administers four Certificate programs:
Upon successful completion of each program, a marks transcript is issued. Upon successful completion of International Transportation and Trade and Essentials of Freight Forwarding programs, a Certificate is issued. Upon successful completion of four programs, an Advanced Certificate is issued.
Career Paths in Freight Forwarding
CIFFA Certificate holders are able to apply for entry positions in Freight Forwarding. With no prior experience: Junior Export/Import Agent, Commercial Documentation Clerk, and Junior Rates/Pricing Clerk. With somee experience: Sr./Intermediate Rates/Pricing Clerk, Intermediate Air/Ocean Export Import Coordinator, Rates & Pricing Supervisor, Export/Import Supervisor, and Team Leader Operations*.

E-Learning
Alternatively, CIFFA has an E-Learning option available for our programs. E-Learning runs on the same schedule as the classroom programs, except students don’t attend lectures. This is an option for individuals who need flexibility, who cannot attend regular classes or where the classroom program is unavailable locally. The students write the same exams, on the same dates as classroom students. The student is responsible to arrange an exam supervisor at their company to monitor the writing of their exams.
Students use a combination of the Textbooks, Workbooks, and the E-Learning Modules to complete the program. The E-Learning Modules are designed to be interactive and include lessons with reading, exercises to practice and evaluations to verify knowledge acquired.
