US Customs and Border Protection FAQ on advance manifest rules for Air
Cargo operations

'The final rule of the US Trade Act 2002 (68 FR 68140) provides for advance manifest
regulations for all modes of transportation both in and out of the United States. In response to various
questions, the CBP has decided to publish answers to the most frequently asked questions on advance
manifest rules for air cargo operations. The new rules will be effective as of August 13, 2004.
