FIATA Appoints CIFFA's William Gottlieb as President

Posted October 31, 2007

At the recent FIATA World Congress held in Dubai, UAE, our own William (Bill) Gottlieb, Director of the National Board of Directors, was appointed President of FIATA on October 22nd. For the second time in the history of FIATA a Canadian, Mr William Gottlieb has assumed the title of president of this prestigious world organization. Bill joined FIATA in 1993 and served six years as Chairman of the Airfreight Institute. Bill has been involved with CIFFA for close to 30 years, having been the President of CIFFA from 1994-2000. Mr. Gottlieb is the President of David Kirsch Forwarders Limited of Montreal, QC.

We are sure you will all join the Secretariat in wishing Mr. Gottlieb a successful and exciting tenure as FIATA President; they could not have voted in a better man for the job! Good luck Bill.

Mr. Gottlieb also had the honour of inviting the FIATA congress delegates and all member Associations to the next world congress to be held in Vancouver, BC, in the Autumn of 2008 (http://www.fiata2008.com).

His presentation was captured on video, and can be viewed at: http://www.ciffa.com/videos/Gottlieb_Speech.wmv
