This online program with a virtual one-day live-session is for shippers and freight forwarders with no experience in dealing with dangerous goods by air, or who have let their previous air DG certificate expire for more than 12 months. CIFFA highly recommends that recurrent students who do not consistently ship dangerous goods, be enrolled in this initial class as well.
CIFFA is an IATA and FIATA-ICAO Dangerous Goods Authorized Training School (ATS), and as such meets its stringent requirements and high standards.
This program provides both general background information, as well as detailed information on identification, packing, marking, labelling and documenting Dangerous Goods. Learning modules, practice tests, case studies and a live session with a certified instructor enhance the learning environment.
The current edition of the IATA DGR is used as the main reference source for this program, and is provided for the participant's use while attending this program. A certificate in categories 6, as per table 1.5.A of the IATA Dangerous goods regulations is provided after successfully completing this course. The course is taught from the perspective of the freight forwarder.
