CIFFA Forwarder Magazine

8 THE FORWARDER | WINTER 2025 and it has long been our position that we must work collaboratively on common solutions if we are to enable real change. Together with our full time dedicated lobbyist, we are trying to break the siloes down, and bring all stakeholders to the table, to collaborate on supply chain issues for positive action and outcomes. The Education pillar has formed the cornerstone of CIFFA since the association’s inception, and has evolved continuously year- over-year with enhanced, improved and expanded offerings. This is in line with our core belief that education is a journey and not a one-time event. Our TraversEd Limited, a wholly-owned for-profit entity whose sole focus is on the delivery of quality education products for the logistics industry, will continue to deliver timely, key, quality training to colleges across Canada, in addition to international educational institutions and other trade associations. These programs have been updated and content localized, with on- demand and virtual offerings to support remote learning. TraversEd currently supports 18 Canadian institutions, including private career and public colleges. Furthermore, we have granted over $125,000 to CIFFA Cares, our registered charity, in the first two years of its creation, assisting students in pursuing their education through scholarships and grants. You, as members, have an important role to play in providing your input towards these goals. We work tirelessly for our members but sometimes you get what you give so we encourage you to participate in your association. Let us know of your daily challenges, provide feedback, answer surveys, participate in our committees, etc. This interchange of ideas, input and collaboration will all contribute to the health of our association and our industry, the competitiveness and diversification of the Canadian economy and the growth of inter-provincial and international trade. And now, on to the 2025 CIFFA conference: Forward Thinking, Redefining Excellence in the Supply Chain…. Our program over the next day and a half is organized into armchair panel discussions, interspersed with some keynote presentations which will get underway shortly, not to mention our cocktail reception and Dinner this evening. An event such as this would not be possible without the generous support of our conference sponsors.. ` 1. https://www.ciffa.com/resource/ We would like to acknowledge Crown Sponsor • Port Saint John Diamond Sponsors • Avalon Risk Management (Canada) Inc. • Canadian National Railway • CPKC • Compliant Business Processing • Port of Montreal Platinum Sponsors • Economic Development Winnipeg • Winnipeg Airports Authority Gold Sponsors • Calgary Airports Authority • Edmonton International Airport • Roanoke Insurance Group Inc.
