In 2026, we will introduce a new Canadian credential— the CIFFA Accredited Practitioner in Customs (CAPC)—anticipated for launch in May. CIFFA also continues to offer its Fundamentals of Customs workshop. • Warehousing-Focused Training: A new workshop, Warehousing Explained: From Layouts to Digital Innovation, provides practical insight into modern warehouse operations. • Comprehensive Online & On-Demand Learning: CIFFA’s education portfolio includes the CIFFA Certificate, FIATA Diploma, multimodal Dangerous Goods certifications, Air Cargo Security training, and an expanded leadership development program, including a new course on emotional intelligence. CIFFA’s Charity, CIFFA Cares, led by Julia Kuzeljevich as President, has continued to award 5% of revenues back to the colleges which have charities in place. This ongoing commitment reinforces CIFFA’s dedication to supporting education and fostering the growth of future supply chain professionals across Canada Sustainability and Technology It was an honour to attend the FIATA World Congress in Hanoi in October, themed Green and Resilient Logistics. While sustainability continues to generate debate, it is clear that global momentum toward energy efficiency and emissions reduction is accelerating. CIFFA remains committed to supporting members through education and practical guidance, including ESG governance resources developed by our Sustainability Committee. From a technology perspective, CIFFA continues to invest in tools and education that enhance member value. Through whitepapers, webinars, and initiatives addressing artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, the Technology Committee and Secretariat are helping members navigate innovation responsibly. Recent investments include CRM enhancements and the launch of CIFFA’s AI assistant, Ask Ruth, available on our website. Membership Growth and Strategy CIFFA is projecting continual growth in all membership sectors in 2026. To support sustainable growth, the Board has advanced recommendations to modernize membership requirements and introduce a new category for early-stage companies. These initiatives aim to broaden accessibility while maintaining CIFFA’s professional standards, strengthening the membership pipeline and diversifying our community. CIFFA Conference CIFFA’s 2025 Annual Conference, #ForwardThinking: Redefining Excellence in the Supply Chain, was held October 29–30 at the Delta Toronto Airport and was a resounding success. We welcomed more than 400 attendees, 37 exhibitors, and 30 sponsors, with keynote presentations from Alan Arcand, Lars Jensen, and Charles Fortier.
