CIFFA Announces 2026 Scholarship Winners

Toronto, ON, October 5, 2026 – CIFFA, Canada’s Association of Logistics Providers, is pleased to announce Narae Kim and Akshaya Devendran as the recipients of the 2026 CIFFA Scholarships. 

CIFFA awards two $4,000 scholarships annually to support students pursuing post-secondary education in international trade, logistics or business. The scholarship program reflects CIFFA’s longstanding commitment to education and to encouraging the next generation to explore careers in freight forwarding, logistics and international trade. 

Kim was recognized for an essay that thoughtfully connected her personal experiences, academic studies and career aspirations with her developing understanding of operations, logistics and global trade. The selection committee was particularly impressed by her appreciation for education and mentorship and the sense of purpose she brings to her future career in the supply chain and logistics industry. 

Devendran’s essay stood out for its authenticity, compassion and resilience. Drawing on personal experiences with adversity, she described her determination to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and concluded her essay with the powerful statement, “I want to be the good.” 

“Supporting education and encouraging talented young people to see the opportunities available in our industry are important priorities for CIFFA,” said Bruce Rodgers, Executive Director of CIFFA. “Narae and Akshaya impressed the committee with their experiences, perspectives and commitment to their futures. We are very pleased to recognize their achievements and support them as they continue their education.” 

Kim and Devendran will be formally recognized at the 2026 CIFFA Conference awards dinner on October 20 at Universal EventSpace in Vaughan, Ontario.
