CIFFA Corp. Submission to Help define the next chapter of Canada’s AI leadership

Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada held consultations from October 1-31, 2025, on the next direction for AI Policy in Canada.

With input from its Technology Committee, CIFFA Corp. provided its submission on Canada’s Next Artificial Intelligence Strategy , concluding that Canada can be not only become an AI innovator, but also a global leader in trustworthy, sovereign, and trade-enabling AI. For the logistics and transport sectors, where safety, efficiency, and competitiveness intersect, the next AI strategy must safeguard Canadian control over critical data resources, establish dedicated AI legislation, and enable safe, scalable adoption of AI systems.  CIFFA Corp. stands ready to collaborate with government, industry, and international partners to ensure Canada’s AI future advances both national interests and global competitiveness.
