Ministerial Correspondence on Building Canada Act
On February 10, 2026, CIFFA received correspondence from the Honourable Dominic Leblanc, Minister Responsible for Canada-U.S. Trade, Intergovernmental Affairs, Internal Trade and One Canadian Economy.
The letter was also in response to CIFFA’s July 2025 letter to then-Transport Minister Chrystia Freeland, on which Minister Leblanc was copied, and which offered gratitude for the federal government’s recent passage of Bill C-5 – the One Canadian Economy Act.
The letter thanked CIFFA for its correspondence regarding the Free Trade and Labour Mobility in Canada Act and the Building Canada Act, appreciating CIFFA’s enthusiastic support for both initiatives and for the positive impact they will bring to the freight forwarding, warehousing, trucking, and freight and customs brokerage sectors.
